International luxury lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret could be about to set up shop in Glasgow city centre.
The company is bidding to take over a unit in the Buchanan Galleries which could be turned into a flagship Scottish store.
An application was lodged with the council’s planning department by parent company L Brands this week.
If backed by elected members, it would pave the way for the opening of the city’s second store, with one already in place at Glasgow Airport.
The company is one of the world’s leading underwear retailers with added popular lines including fragrances and cosmetics.
Their much-anticipated annual world-famous catwalk shows hit headlines when they take place thanks to the involvement of supermodel brand ambassadors, known as Angels.
Current Angels include Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Martha Hunt and Stella Maxwell.
